IBM’s new crazy technology; smartwatch which can transform into a tablet
As this is the Era of technology which includes not just the technology but more advanced and brilliant technology. The following year we happened to see many exceptional and outstanding technologies developed or designed in many perspectives. There has emerged a sense of high competition between the world’s most advanced companies. We saw Samsung developing some folding smartphone and also Huawei competing them in this respect. Every technology company seems to be one or two steps ahead of others and try to build something unique and elevated.
Competing for the folding smartphone technology of Samsung and Huawei, IBM has come to screen with a fantastic folding smartwatch can transform into a tablet. This IBM smartwatch folds out into a full-sized tablet.
The patent titled as a “Variable display size for an electronic display device”. It describes a wearable tablet or smartphone that has eight displays stacked on top of each other like a deck of cards.
The folded display has no edging, and seven other displays screens are stored below it in chambers. The watch’s assembly is not fully explained in the patent. But it will with two display panels or four, depending on the user’s need; the patent claims that users will be able to open it up in stages.
Each panel will gather 3 x 2 inches, making its maximum size huge at 12 x 8 inches. In its unfolded form, the smartwatch will be no less than a tablet.
Considering our current technological level, pulling this off will be no less than magic.
When visiting IBM’s website, it states that the company has been leading in terms of patent registrations, with 9100 filled patents in the United States in 2018 alone. Hence, it is highly unlikely that the idea will become a reality.
